#elfbyhimself campaign launched to highlight loneliness

Loneliness is having such an impact on our society that a recent study found that 40% of all older people say that TV is their main source of companionship so this week we launched a campaign on behalf of Promedica24, a national live-in care provider to highlight the issue.

#elfbyhimself shows a 'retired' elf struggling with life on his own following the death of his wife.  Over half of all 75 year olds live alone in the UK and the campaign hopes to highlight the many issues that people struggle with as a result.

Other statistics show that loneliness is as bad for your health as smoking 15 cigarettes a day and it increases the risk of mortality by 26%.
