TAKING 'SAVING SOCIAL CARE' TO THE TOP OF THE AMAZON BOOK CHARTS
Neil Eastwood is a UK-based international speaker on frontline healthcare worker recruitment and retention.
He has spent many years studying the best practices of care recruiters around the world. Previously he was a director at a 10,000-staff care provider and studied at the University of Sheffield and Harvard Business School.
Neil is a sought-after presenter. His findings and recommendations have generated dramatic improvements in the volume and quality of frontline staff with a wide range of care providers. He presents across the UK, Europe and further afield.
His company, Sticky People, holds the UK licence for the award-winning care candidate screening tool, PeopleClues, which is used by over 1,000 social care recruiters and interviewing managers in the UK and Ireland.
What did they want?
Neil’s first book, ‘Saving Social Care’ is about solving one of the biggest challenges we face: how to provide enough quality care for an ageing society? It gives practical help and advice to care employers on who to look for as their next frontline care employee, where to find them, how to screen them and, critically, 20 great ways of keeping them.
As Neil’s first book, he was looking for support throughout the pre-launch period in order to build anticipation towards the launch date and keep momentum towards Health+Care, when he held a launch event following his presentation at the event. A key objective was also to top the Amazon bestselling charts…
What did we do?
We provided Neil with a holistic package of support including a launch strategy, the design and development of a book-specific website, graphic design, content marketing, social media management, PR and event support at the Health+Care 2017 event at the ExCel Centre. We worked closely with Neil and the publisher to ensure that all communications were on message and closely in line with his launch timeline.
The book could not have been received more positively and is now seen as a vital tool for any Owner or Manager of a care provider that is looking to recruit effectively in an increasingly tough environment. On the day of launch, it became an Amazon #1 Bestseller as planned and proved a huge hit across the social care sector up and down the UK and beyond.
